The roadmap

An insight on planned development for the future, and the past.

  • Todo

    Media player

A media-first environment for browsing and consuming media files, with support for images, videos, and audio. Building on the drive view mode update. Allowing you to view your media files without going to the file page.

  • Todo

    Drive view mode

Different modes for browsing the drive, allowing for a scalable media-rich view with thumbnails and previews

  • Todo

    The websocket update

Websockets are already there, but they are used minimally. This update will make it so that a good chunk of actions taken will be reflected to other users viewing the same items. Building on the folder sharing update.

  • Todo

    Foldermaxxing and collaboration

This will turn folders from a single-tenant design to a multi-tenant design, allowing for sharing, collaboration, and granular permissions.

  • Todo

    Drive mass actions

Enabling users to mass select items and take action on them collectively, and adding the move module for moving items between folders.

  • In the future

    Out of alpha into beta

Web app quirks and bugs have been worked out, systems have been extensively tested, and the internal storage system now operates with a backup in case of disk or server failure.

  • May 2026

    Metadata and caching, everywhere

We added statistical tracking to all file and folder related actions. It might take some time for folder data to fully reflect reality as the statistics are cached and aren't updated in real time. You'll notice the (system) folder, which is where some of files associated with your files will be stored. For example, when you upload an image or video, a thumbnail is created for it. That thumbnail is stored in our system and is associated with your source file. Associated metadata count towards your account's quota.

  • April 2026

    Public alpha launch

Upload, download, a file system, and basic sharing.
